Meet Coach Bruce Sibley
Bruce Sibley has spent his career developing athletes and building winning programs. A former collegiate player at the University of Lynchburg and La Salle, Bruce went on to serve as Head Men's Tennis Coach at Young Harris College, where he guided the program through its transition to NCAA Division II and achieved a #11 national ranking.
With a degree in Kinesiology from Charleston Southern University and years of experience running junior academies, Bruce brings a rare combination of technical knowledge, coaching experience, and genuine care for player development.
Now based in Richmond, Bruce is focused on growing pickleball—the fastest-growing sport in America—and making quality instruction accessible to everyone.
"Sport is a vehicle for building confidence, character, and community. My goal is to help every player—regardless of age or ability—fall in love with the game and become better because of it."
— Coach Bruce Sibley
More Than a Game
Serve with Intent Pickleball is building toward something bigger.
Inspired by organizations like the National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network—which has spent 50 years using sport to transform the lives of underserved youth—our long-term vision is to create a nonprofit program that combines pickleball with academic enrichment, mentoring, and life skills development for Richmond's young people.
We believe every child deserves access to quality programming that promotes healthy lifestyles, education, and personal growth. Pickleball's accessibility—easy to learn, inexpensive equipment, adaptable courts—makes it the perfect sport to reach kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Today, we're building the foundation: growing the sport, training coaches, and connecting with the community. Tomorrow, we'll serve a purpose far beyond the court.
What Players Are Saying
Coach Bruce has a gift for breaking down techniques in a way that just clicks. After just a few lessons, I went from barely being able to keep a rally going to playing confidently in local games.
